Rev. Timothy Lannon, S.J. Rev. Timothy R. Lannon, S.J., was elected to the Marquette University Board of Trustees in 2003.

He is the president of Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia. Previously, he served as vice president for university advancement and associate executive vice president at Marquette University. He has also served as president of Creighton Preparatory School in Omaha, Neb.

Father Lannon entered the Society of Jesus in 1977 and was ordained to the priesthood in 1986.

He earned a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Creighton University; master's degrees in divinity and theology from the Weston Jesuit School of Theology; and a master's degree in education and a doctoral degree in administration, planning and social policy in higher education at Harvard University.

He is a member of the boards of Saint Joseph’s Preparatory School in Philadelphia, the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce, the Association of Independent Colleges and Universities of Pennsylvania, and chair of the board of directors of the City Avenue Special Services District.
