Marquette Interchange Update as of July 30, 2007
Most of the pile driving is complete for this year. All demolition work for the entire project will be completed early this fall.
Work has begun on demolition of the old portion of southbound I-43 and footings for new portions of southbound I-43, south of Wisconsin Avenue.
Foundation work for eastbound I-794 is near completion; the work in progress is mainly columns and bridge deck.
Reconstruction of westbound I-94 west of the Interchange is in progress.
Reconstruction/relocation of the St. Paul/ James Lovell exit ramp is in progress. It is scheduled to open this fall, along with the new AmTrack Station at 5th Street.
This project is 69 percent complete and work will continue until December 2008.
