Marquette Interchange Update as of July 30, 2007
- Most of the pile driving is complete for this year. All demolition work for the entire project will be completed early this fall.
- Work has begun on demolition of the old portion of southbound I-43 and footings for new portions of southbound I-43, south of Wisconsin Avenue.
- Foundation work for eastbound I-794 is near completion; the work in progress is mainly columns and bridge deck.
- Reconstruction of westbound I-94 west of the Interchange is in progress.
- Reconstruction/relocation of the St. Paul/ James Lovell exit ramp is in progress. It is scheduled to open this fall, along with the new AmTrack Station at 5th Street.
- This project is 69 percent complete and work will continue until December 2008.
