Welcome to Marquette! The staff members of the Office of International Education are happy that you will join Marquette University for the fall semester. We are busy preparing for your arrival, and we look forward to meeting you in Milwaukee.
Orientation Schedule
The orientation program for all new international students will begin:
Monday, August 20, 2007
9:00 a.m.
Alumni Memorial Union (AMU), 2nd Floor | (Map)
1442 West Wisconsin Avenue
(check-in at AMU, 2nd floor begins at 8:30 am)
Orientation meetings for new international students will be held August 20, 21 and 22. A detailed schedule of events will be distributed to all students at the opening meeting on Monday, August 20. Please note that some sessions related to maintaining your visa status and health insurance will be mandatory for students with J-1 and F-1 visa status.
The orientation program is planned to help you make a good start at Marquette. This is also a fun opportunity to meet other new students from around the world.

- Obtaining your Marquette ID card
- Computer and technology resources on campus
- On-campus employment
- The American education system
- F-1 and J-1 visa regulations
- English language testing
- University Student Health Service
- Health insurance

- Tours of the campus
- Housing options
- Food services on campus
