Research at Marquette

Today's problems. Tomorrow's solutions.

Thanks to the hard work of our innovative faculty, Marquette's research program is gaining more momentum than ever. Here are just a few of the accomplishments that make us proud:

  • Marquette Research: Today's Problems. Tomorrow's Solutions.During the last four years, Marquette faculty have increased external research funding by 36 percent and doubled federal research funding.

  • More than half of the 120 research awards won by Marquette faculty in fiscal year 2006 included funds for student participation, reflecting Marquette's commitment to the teacher-scholar model.

  • We believe collaboration is an asset. In fiscal year 2006, Marquette faculty received $1.4 million for research equipment that will benefit not only Marquette faculty and students but also those at neighboring institutions.

  • Marquette was one of the founding partners of the Biomedical Technology Alliance, which connects academic researchers with industry partners.

  • Marquette faculty edit a number of scholarly journals, from the Journal of Orthopaedic and Sports Physical Therapy to the The International Journal of Systematic Theology.
